The Airavatesvara Temple is a magnificent example of Chola architecture located in Darasuram, India. This Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is renowned for its intricate stone carvings and sculptures. The temple's vimana (tower) is richly decorated and testament to the artistic skills of the Chola artisans. Built during the 12th century by Rajaraja Chola II, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the 'Great Living Chola Temples'. The site continues to be a center for cultural and religious activities.
