Indospectrum

The Forgotten Songs installation is an evocative urban art piece located in Angel Place, Sydney. This work features dozens of suspended birdcages, each playing the recorded songs of birds that once inhabited the area. Created to pay homage to the avian population displaced by urban development, the artwork changes its chorus from daytime to nighttime bird calls. It serves as an interactive reminder of Sydney’s rich natural heritage.
