Metropol Parasol is a modern architectural marvel located in the old quarter of Seville. Known locally as 'Las Setas' or 'The Mushrooms,' its undulating wooden design provides a stark contrast to the historic surroundings. The structure houses an archaeological museum, a marketplace, and an elevated walkway offering panoramic views of the city. Designed by architect Jürgen Mayer, it was completed in 2011 and is considered one of the largest timber structures in the world. The design symbolizes the fusion of tradition and modernity in Seville.
