Venetian Towers, Barcelona

The Venetian Towers are two symmetrical red-brick towers that mark the entrance to Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina leading to Montjuïc in Barcelona. Designed by architect Ramon Reventós, they were completed in 1929 for the International Exhibition. The towers are inspired by the campanile of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy. They stand as an iconic gateway to the cultural attractions of the Montjuïc area, including the Magic Fountain and the National Art Museum of Catalonia.
