The Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest hot spring in the United States and the third largest in the world. It is renowned for its vivid colors, which are a result of microbial mats around the edges of the mineral-rich water. The center of the pool is a deep blue, surrounded by bands of orange, yellow, and green. The steam rising from the surface adds to the surreal beauty of this natural wonder.
